deers/fox crossing my path

I was driving along earlier, and as I looked ahead on the foggy back road I had been driving, I noticed 3 deer crossing ahead of my view so immediately my foot hit the brake and the vehicle swerved, barley missing one of the deer. Sometimes one feels like the incident has no meaning, and sometimes it does have meaning. This was absolutely the later. Soon i'm driving again and the next thing I see is a fox scamper across my path. This too feels meaningful and purposeful.
Afterwards I received strong feeling these two incidents, occurring barley seconds from one another, were related and contained a meaning within its duality.

Any ideas what nature is trying to tell me?

I believe that deer symbolize gentleness and they also adapt well. And Ted Andrews states that since deer lose their antlers for the first five years of their life then the time span of 5 years may be important to you, perhaps certain opportunities may come your way.

The fox has a long history of magic and cunning attached to it. As well, shapeshifting is connected to fox. Perhaps there may be something in your life coming up where you're going to have to be very clever. As for the shapeshifting maybe you or 'something' is going to shift into a different mode, perhaps.

I had three deer cross my car a few years back too! Right in the time I was getting a lot of synchronicity! I knew it was significant in some way!

A beautiful dog fox crossed my path just after the sun went down tonight, by the river near where I live. They are always very wary of people, so he must have known I was there and wasn't afraid to show himself. He trotted away fairly quickly to get away from me. But I spoke to him in a friendly and gentle way, and laughed a little bit -very gently, and he stopped in his tracks to look back at me a few times.

I don't know what the specific meaning of a thing like that would be. But to me it is a slightly deeper communion with those who live wild in nature. I am a part of it -a creature walking its pathway home, or to further adventure -just like they are. And we are all together in the landscape.

I saw a muntjac deer the other morning, very early, crossing the road in front of my car. It had a little baby with it.
It seemed quite special, just a split second in the headlights, I've never seen a baby muntjac before.
