Hello, People of the Universe

Hi there everyone. I thought I'd write this as I think I'll stick around for a bit after talking to some nice folks in the Meditation forum.

The interesting bits:

I don't really steal pencils (or pens!) on purpose anymore. I'm 38 and have long since outgrown such things.

I'm from the US but have lived in Norway for a little over 3 years. I met some strange person on the internet and some years later I wound up marrying that same person. Coming out of a couple years of language classes, I don't yet work so have lots and lots of time, and decided to start meditating and then finally wound up here.

It sounds much more interesting when distilled down to a paragraph.

The other interesting bits:

I'm an artist, and spend a lot of my time drawing and painting. I like having odd user names and have one pseudonym for just artwork that makes me giggle. Most of that is I listen to a good deal of music and have just started to play cello (mine is electric) in the hopes that I'll play some simple stuff in a few years. More on topic, I'm pretty good at the lucid dreaming stuff (20+ years of experience), so will probably try to help folks out there when I notice questions I can answer.

I think that's pretty much it.

Hello there, everyone.

Hello again L.P.T.

Welcome...

Now you have me wondering what 'electric cello' sounds like, and I'm off to Youtube to find out...

Heheh. I got hooked hearing Metallica on cellos back in the 90's. You can get some traditional sounding noises all the way to metal. Basically the same sorts of differences you get from electric guitars and violins. I'm guessing by now you've found a few artists, though

Cold with a lot of viking descendants I'm far enough north that the summer doesn't get darker than twilight (though the sun goes below the horizon) and winter days are something like 4 hours long. But hey, northern lights and snow and stuff!

Overall, nice and peaceful and generally quiet with plenty of nature and not all that many people. I'm in a larger city and still am not too far from nature. Many mountains and a whole lot of coastline. Being from a different continent and all, the forests all seem like the stuff from fairy tales.
