When my husband was a boy he found a baby crow that had fallen from the nest (he didn't know then that you aren't supposed to take them home because the parents are still watching and caring for them)
He raised the crow, Rodney, and they became best friends, Rodney had the most amazing personality and very intelligent. He was never kept in a cage. The trouble started when Rodney started perching on the next door neighbours pram and peering in at the baby, then Rodney had to go. My husband would trek for miles with Rodney in a box and let him go, but when he got home Rodney would be there waiting for him!
Eventually Rodney flew off on his own accord but still came back for visits  |
