Everly in that case I would be extremely interested in what your symptoms were (m.e is very widely diagnosed and not all cases are alike) and how you got well particularly if you stuck to a vegetarian diet. I don't think anyone is attacking anyone here, I'm really looking for a way to remain vegetarian yet improve my health. Happy to move to another thread or pm if easier.

Yes, dear Littlebird. I thought so too.

"The real meaning of respect" ... Reverence for all creation, fine sentiments to hold, but it doesn't truly mean anything unless one lives by it.

It's not easy - why should it be?, nothing worth doing is ever easy - and I certainly wouldn't condemn anyone who couldn't live up to it, but it is the ideal.

The bottom line is one should try to live as harmlessly as possible, however one interprets that.

At two and a half weeks (vegetarian) I am just starting to notice an actual change in my energy field. It feels like purification. The texture is finer. Psychological shifts may be immediate but I think it takes a couple weeks for the chemicals and such to leave the body. Like a detox process I guess.

That sounds womderful, Dryad, thank you. It's been a slow process but as time goes on i'm getting more and more grossed out by most meats. My main reason for wanting this change is for the heightened vibration. Not that i don't care about the lives being lost by my eating habits, i just learned about the benefits in spirituality and have been stuck on the idea ever since. I have IBS so i have to be careful on over doing the veggies lol but i'm choosing other options for protein so that at the very least i'm eating significantly less meat than i did a year ago.
