When one is asking a pendulum questions, exactly whooo is answering ?

I have never really thought to ask, I just talk to my pendulum, saying " hello pendulum " and then asking it questions .....

Its usually your subconscious/unconscious. Sometimes your higher self.

It is a very good question to ask (with all divination devices) as occasionally (rarely) some 'other' spirit or entity can use it to feed you information. To avoid this many people use 'protection' and clearing. Most of the time these entities are not harmful but they do delight in tricking you.

funny thing is, I did ask my pendulum if I was speaking to my higher self .... and it said no

The Aumakua did not respond to your requests. Pendulums respond to the Unihipili which is located in the Low Self or the solar plexus/gut area.

Another, and I think a much more appropriate name for the Low Self, is the lunar self. Some believe the lunar self is actually the "dream creator".

The looooooong answer is that the divination tool provides a key that unlocks your subconscious mind and might, just might, give a glimpse into the Akasha.
