A touching story. Love knows no bounds!
It reminds me of the story of Greyfriars Bobby, whose story is so famous in the UK, especially Edinburgh in Scotland, where he is a legend and even has a statue erected to his loyalty: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greyfriars_Bobby

I have heard of this before,i know when my husband passed away our dog was waiting by the door for him to come home from work.he would sleep on his side of the bed,on the floor.if he heard someone stopping by the gate he was in the window looking.this carried on for a couple of years until i had to have him put to sleep. and where my husband is buried a dog lies on a grave there. he doesnt move.
Gives a new meaning to the saying a dog is mans best friend

Truly wonderful stories. My grandpa was a cat person. Many relatives said that one his cats was found sleeping on his grave for 3 days straight (at least) right after he was buried.

That is so beautiful and touching. It makes me wonder how Capitan found the grave....
This also kind of reminds me of an amazing Japanese Film called "Hachiko". I think there was also a film made of this story starring Richard Gere. I haven't seen that one, but watched the Japanese one on You Tube(with subtitles.) It was a very moving story.

I was reading that today. Very touching. Makes me wonder more about the connection between the man and the dog.

The purity of love...The loyalty and devotion....The non-judgement....The total forgiveness...
If only all humans would aspire to attain and reach the same qualities...

Yes....(read between the barks, and the crunch of dog biscuits, and this is what they say....)"I am here to teach you all I know, I will only be here for a little while so listen. I am here to teach you the power of love"
