Basmati is a long grain rice that cooks easily enough and holds its grain shape well. The brown variety is kind of nutty.

Oh,... Red Lobster! I hope you had fun!

Serenity69 were these the British kind of beans and chips! Yum!

I fixed hamburger fried rice last night.

Tonight will be leftover grilled brats, some air fried potatoes and a green salad. I went shopping today because i thought I was out of lettuce. So I got 3 more heads. Come to find out I had put some in another fridge in the garage. Now I've got 5 heads. I'm thinking lettuce wraps, cob and crab louis salads, and I will have to do some searching for recipes using lettuce over the next week.

EUREKA

Best homemade pizza crust I have ever made...I have reservations even sharing this after so much experimentation. I finally strayed from an all recipes wheat crust I have been working with for awhile.

12 ounces whole wheat white flour (King Arthur)
2 tablespoons of vital wheat gluten
1 tablespoon of yeast
1 teaspoon of honey
1 teaspoon of salt
T tablespoon of olive oil
1 tablespoon italian herbs
1 cup water

Let warm water, yeast, and honey set for 5-10 minutes until foamy. Add all other ingredient. I use my dough function on my bread machine to knead.

I make 2 crusts from this recipe. I just smash it down until it's really thin.

Bake at 425F on the low rack in your oven for around 20 minutes. I think the oven temperature is paramount. 450F was too hot.
