Thumbs up

I have a LAB and from her you can really learn to be happy no matter what, to be thankful for the smalest things recieved, to be absolutely loyal, and to be next to you all the time....

P.s. in addition - PLAY, PLAY, PLAY :) :) :)

I am a cat person, so this thread needs some much needed "cat stuff"

If a Cat Was Your Teacher:

Aim high with your goals. If all else fails, at least you’ll land on your feet.
Worry about courage, cleanliness and furballs
Christmas trees are meant to be climbed
Avoid cleaning your private parts in public places
Always make sure the lid is down on the toilet before jumping on it
Look in to people as well as at them
When depressed or confused, try lying on your back with your legs in the air; sometimes the world just looks better up-side down
Run and away and hide the moment you hear any group of humans speculating about whether cats always land on their feet
Surprise the entire household by unrolling all toilet paper at night
When kneading someone's stomach, stop just short of drawing blood
No matter what you've done wrong, always try to make it look like the dog did it.

Hopefully you enjoy that!

Dogs are very good teachers, they live in the moment. Yesterday has gone, tommorow hasn't come so live for today, mindfulness. Buy them a BIG bone

And this is so true - even if I do say so myself.

I am all in favour of animal companionship. It serves the spiritual advancement of both parties when there is positive interaction and love between the two.

The dog learns values from its human, and it acquires individualisation, which it retains after death.

The human should open another facet of their compassion and understanding, I say 'should' because many miss it.

The dog is a representative of the Animal Kingdom in 'your' home. There is much we can learn about the Animal Kingdom in general.
And as I said there is much we can learn about loyalty, about love. Not the romantic love common to us, but the totally pure and selfless love.

How the dog loves in microcosm, is how the spiritual aspirant needs to love in macrocosm.
