Do we choose our next lives?

I was just wondering if we choose who and what we become after we reincarnate. Lately I've been having such a craving to work out a lot...I would train until I get tired and rest a little bit then feel like I MUST train more. Even at night when I can't sleep, I would want to just go and do some pushups...Could this be something that I chose in my past life to do in this life or am i just developing a workout addiction?

Sounds like you are addicted to the endorphines you get with exercise. It can be just like a drug to many.

Medium Laura, I just did some research on endorphins and it said that it is described as a feeling of well-being, I'm guessing this is similar to an adrenaline rush (I haven't had one before...then again, I could have but I just don't know it). I don't feel happiness after I work out, I just feel very accomplished and disciplined. Also my muscles seem to recover a lot quicker than other people with with the same physical fitness as I have(chubby but chiseled lol). For example, I could do a set of 90 pushups and rest for 3 minutes and do 70 pushups and continue on doing another 70 pushups after 3 more minutes of rest while my friends (chubby but chiseled) do 1 set of 30-40 pushups and tire out completely afterwards.

weimin, maybe you and Hanna mae were Olympic athletes in a past life ? Aren't the athletes starting to practice more now for the next Olympics ?

any gold or silver medals hanging in your closet or packed away in a box in the attic ?

Dream Angel xx

Medium Lara could be right - I workout a lot too - Within the initial 30 minutes of working out your body releases endorphines and this gives a sense of happiness (like a drug).

To your initial question - "Do we choose our.. lives?"

I believe we do. I don't think its the environment we choose to be brought up in.. But the obstacles we choose to be given. - We choose this not by manipulating our destiny, but by being born with a unique mind. This mind then interprets the world from the viewers standpoint. - Obstacles are only an illusion / reality to the viewer. They are turned into obstacles through the viewers perspectives / personality a.k.a their individual unique mind.
This is beautiful because knowing that your mind is in control of the world and destiny of the viewer, you then come to the conclusion that the viewer is indeed the master of their world. They have the power to create obstacles, diminish the value of others and blossom into a new being every step of the way.

Much Love,
Jorddy

When I was a small child, I used to be very very competitive, but as I got into my early teens, I lost my competitive nature and became very mellow, after I took a strength training class at school last year, I felt like I've become more and more competitive with each passing day. As for the medals that Dream Angel have mentioned, I have non because I've never joined any competitions. As for Jorddy's theory, I agree with it but I believe that we choose our parents and surroundings thus our physical traits (however I have no proof so I won't argue with anyone who disagrees :P )

the medals idea was just to go along with the Olympic past life idea, not saying you actually have or had the medals.

I always wondered about the idea of us choosing our parents ? I never quite understood how that worked. I am not agreeing nor disagreeing with the idea, just curious and wondering.

Thought so Dream Angel, I was just saying tho. Hanna's description matches my craving for workout almost perfectly and she described it better than i did.
