how do you know that you have the gift?

Well the past week iv been having strange things happen like ill think of someone then they may ring or message me , and recently I was meditating and I imagined being on a beach and there was a bench I sat on the bench and a relative that passed (which iv never met) was sitting there and I see his brown shoes trousers waist coat etc then when I looked at him abouve his head was images which was matches a tooth etc I then pulled out of a mediation state and told my mum everything and she told me that he had a missing front tooth later in his life and smoked alot of cigarettes which ended up killing him. Is this something or just a coincidence? How do I know if im in tune? Thank you for your time
