Nothing without love

For truth is truth, wherever it is found, and the more jewels of truth we can find, the better. The leaven of enlightenment is working slowly but surely; the yeast cells are multiplying, for they cannot do otherwise....

In Spiritualism we have two constants: the proof of continued life after so-called death and proof of communication with those who have shed the physical body. The implications and ramifications of these two facts are cosmic in scope. So whatever level of understanding we have reached, or whatever rung of the spiritual ladder we are on, let us always remember this.

But let us remember too, the most important of all teaching from Spirit: the message of Love. Without this our erudition avails us nothing.

A reader told me recently that when she needed practical and urgent help, it was not those who called themselves Spiritualists or any other "ists" who came to her aid. It was those who did not call themselves anything, but those who had love in their hearts.

With our discussions and arguments about this or that facet of the same jewel, we often resemble a lot of bickering, babbling little brooks, each so full of bustle and hustle that we are apt to forget that the multiplicity of streams will later form one of a multiplicity of rivers, and these in turn will ultimately be unified in the great ocean of Love
