Spirit Animals

I have a panther as a spirit/medicine animal. Some negative entities have been hanging around my house, so I poured rock salt under all the doors/windows & when I meditated I asked my SG to help me protect my house. She showed me a bear & had me focus on it. After I've seen the bear walking around my house. He's just as clear as my spirit animal. Is this a new totem? He has an amazing personality & I've already come to love him as much as my panther. Will he only stay until he's needed? or with meditation could I keep him here? Well, not here, but you know what I mean.

P.S. My panther is always on my right side, where the bear is usually to my left or circling the house he doesn't seem to me 'tied' to me like the panther is. I've even had him stay at the house while I went out, he wasn't happy, but he stayed (although when I felt nervous I would call upon him & he would appear)
