If you liked the song, and you haven't seen it yet. Watch the movie, it's just as moving as the song (It was to me anyway).

No spilers but here is the IMDB link: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0186151/

Scibat,
Thanks!
That movie, Frequency, looks good.
Also, you reminded me of Kenny Rogers! How could I forget?
Gambler's great... & also Coward of the County...

Oh... & Gem (& my bro) introduced me to Johnny Cash
I especially like his song, "Boy named Sue."

Mountain Music is also classic!
Good selections, Scibat!

I especially like to listen to country when I am working around the house or in the garage.
There are alot of great songs out there that would make country lovers out of anybody but the radio stations seem to play the same 3 songs over and over.

That's true, James! And it's not just with country - but all of the radio stations. Sometimes, I want to take my music or list of songs down to the radio station! lol
Yeah, & music makes work more enjoyable.

Twanging Out Life's Hurdles

Country music is priceless, having a certain unabashed irony & raw real life quality about it. As in the typical theme that goes something like- My favorite dog got hit by a car ... (insert favorite guitar riff in the ...s) I hardly noticed as I drove by its mangled body in the ditch ... ‘cause I saw my wife walking out of that room w/ my best friend ... normally wouldn’t have been by the motel at that time of day ... ‘cept I got fired for backing into the boss’ new truck at work ... that woman weren’t no good anyway ... liked the friend though a bunch ... got home & reached in the ‘frige ... that woman took all the beer to the motel ... now i really miss that dog ... even though he had fleas ... he could sure catch a stick ... he wouldda never shacked up w/ my best friend ...

Mind's Eye ~ you are so missing out on some good country music ! that fake southern accent to twangy guitars is so not today's music

My favorite Country Singer is John Michael Montgomery ~ and my 2 favorite songs are:

Life's a Dance

" Life's a dance you learn as you go
Sometimes you lead, sometimes you follow
Don't worry about what you don't know
Life's a dance, you learn as you go. "

and I love the way that you love me

Oh, and one cannot forget Lady Antebellum ( it's a group ), I think they are Country Rock or Pop ?
Hit song " Need you Now " and their latest " Just a Kiss " .... WOW !!
