without the revelation to john
What do you guys think?
Would the New Testament be stronger without the Book of Revelation?

It is a crazy book and doesn't do the Bible any favours, imo.

Apparently Revelation nearly didn't get included when the Bible was put together.

It shows the mentality of the people who decided what was important and what was not.
They were different times so I do not judge/Fault them as they were doing what they thought was best
They left out the gospel of Mary and Thomas in favour of revelations....Time to re-assemble it again for today's mentality and evolved consciousness.

It misaligns a lot of shallow people, and I wish there were stronger focus on what Jesus said: not to be judgmental but forgiving. But the Book of John does highlight some important things for the discerning:
1. That earlier Christianity went through a tough and stressful time of horrid persecution at the hands of the ruling norms of the day.
2. That the author puts a curse at the end not to 'disturb' the text by messing with it..... that indicates that having texts messed with was a problem in the author's day.
3. That despite all the bad things around them, perserverence and looking ahead to a further future was in the offing, even if the future also held bad and stressful times, persevere and stay focused.
I think the crazy imagery was the author's way to saying and talking about things that could not be readily openly talked about at the time under pain of death. Had to make it sound a little crazy to slip under the radar. the authorities opening the scroll could laugh and mock, the true ones KNEW....
definitely not to be taken literally.

Revelation is the most powerful book in the bible--1% can understand its true meaning. The world has been watching it occur right under their noses, some can see it vaguely but not its reality, its getting close to its end. You all have been watching rev 13 occur for years now.

This is how I've been feeling lately. In a BIG way. Maybe we should start a new thread and widen the scope?
