Hi, I'm new to this forum also, but it has always been my understanding that the first layer of the aura (the pale yellow glow right next to the body) is known as the 'etheric'. Everyone and every thing (including trees, cats, tables and chairs etc.) has this glowing haze around them/it. I have always looked on it as the life force or God force that is in everything.
