I am sure you can send your gratitude to Souls you know, if you are thankful, there are bound to be some. From insects to people! LOL
If you have a particular religion or belief system, you can send prayers of thanks to the Divine presences.

If it has meaning for you and is an expression of what you truly feel inside then express it any way you want to, it's entirely personal. As has been mentioned you could light a candle, and the action coupled with the intention goes out into the Universe. It's a symbolic gesture that expresses your consciousness. Another way is to 'pass it on' somehow, like a favour that's passed from one person to the next. That way it flows with the Universe. If you've been helped or have been given a little Light, do the same for someone else. Pray if that works for you, say it out loud.
