Usually you can feel empathy with a lot of people if your spiritual energy is high. If your feelings are also romantically linked and he feels the same way, then you have found your soul mate. If your senses are that strong, then you will be able to pick up if he feels the same way about you too.

I'm an empath, and I think of myself as an emotional sponge. I take on the emotions of everyone around me, like a sponge. It's wonderful and sucks all at the same time lol. I think it's great that you have such a close bond to this person! But with empaths, or at least for me, it's with everyone, not just one specific person. Although I will say that it's extremely heightened with my boyfriend! Hope that helps! :)
