Yes it does sound good. You probably know it's best to eat fruit on an empty stomach. Vegetables are good anytime.

Prepare yourself for the coming astral journey of death by daily riding in the balloon of God-perception.
Through delusion you are perceiving yourself as a bundle of flesh and bones, which at best is a nest of troubles.
Meditate unceasingly, that you may quickly behold yourself as the Infinite Essence, free from every form of misery. ~Paramahansa's Guru's Guru

I am curious about the raw eating style. Does anyone know what the best protein source is in a raw diet? I am not a big fan of any type of meat but I do eat it from time to time just for the benefit of the protein.

First things first. None of us on here arent nutritionists, even though many read up on the subject, or have experience in the eating habit of choice. Every person is different and has different levels of vitamins and minerals in their body. Before any change in diet, you should talk to your dr, and talk to a nutritionist or dietician.

Anyways - You will find any (usually bias) sources online stating soy protien, or a combination of plant ammino acids will combine into essential proteins. To make it simple, all scientific studies I have read, that are widely accepted in the medical field, is that its almost impossible to get B12, and all essential fatty acids eating JUST veggies. You usually have to use suppliments as a vegan. This is why blood tests are important; they tell you what you are lacking, and you can adjust your diet accordingly.

Lastly, from an evolutionary standpoint, over the last million years, we have utilized cooking foods. Our jaws and teeth and lack of specialization in our digestive system, along with archeological data show that cooking ALL our food makes it easier to digest, therefore our jaws shrunk, we did not evolve true carnivore or herbivore digestive systems, because there was no need. Utensils and cooking half digested the food already.

Sure, we are adapted to eat a very, very wide range of foods, and many eating heavy meat, or heavy plant matter. Raw veggies give us a bit more nutrition then cooked, yet cooking makes the available nutrients more available to our bodies. Meat, even fish is honestly the best way to get all your proteins and essential fatty acids through food, if you choose not to eat meat at all, you will need suppliments.

**** I will say, generally speaking, our diet seems to be heavy on plants and fungi and fish, supplimented with meat (I think the ratio was meat 4 days a week? Either way, these days we indeed eat too much "bad" meat. But anything in moderation

I eat a mostly vegan diet now and raw as much as I can. I thought I felt great getting rid of meat but dairy has amazing to get rid of for me.
What I thought was normal life was a dairy induced foggy thought with frequent flu like symtoms. I thought I kept getting weird colds all the time.

I gave up dairy and my head cleared up and I no longer get frequent symptoms like a flu.

I know it tastes good but I am not missing anything, raw food makes you feel even better.

A lot of peoples income relies on us believing that food that is heavily processed and sold in packets is good for us.

This is some raw foods that are SERIOUSLY tasty, the ones below are made with coconut oil cocoa powder, cashews and other hippy things my wife buys. I just got them out of our fridge to show you guys. You can get the recipe on the sites in the post below this one.

Its hard to get your head around that it is good for you.

I hope that helps you guys a bit

look up QUINOA its a thing with complete proteins in it. I ate a vegan dinner like chilli con carn and that was the mince with a few kidney beans It wasn't raw.

Raw food isn't just a plate of tasteless salad leaves have a look through this if you are interested, my wife has made some really nice things from it.

Thanks lightworkerAu I will look it up. I had a baggie full of quinoa some time back but had no idea what to do with it so I tossed it. Didn't know about the protein thing with it, never looked it up. I prefer hearing about raw and vegetarian from someone who has tried it or is living that lifestyle vs surfing the net for it. Since you have suggested it I will look it up. Thanks.

Its a bit fiddly to make it but things like chocolate replacer are yummy for when you get a sweet tooth.

Getting a thermo chef blender thing is a good idea for following this lifestyle, that or a high power blender. We worked it out only from raw food, vegetarian and vegan sites. If you have any questions you can ask here and I wil try to answer next time I am on the forum.
