maybe, if the shark is your totem animal, or perhaps an animal spirit guide, it was trying to make contact with you ? maybe a little nibble, was just his way of saying hello ?
so what are your thoughts, do you feel a connection to totem animals, bringing you messages ? or believe in animal spirit guides , or animal guides ?

Yes, I am starting to look back at the experience and realize after the shark nibbled on me I could feel my phsyical body vibrate as if it was shaking, and thats when I opened my eyes. The experience only lasted about 45 seconds maybe more, I thought of sharks rather quick once I realized I was is in the ocean. Is this normal? If it is my guide what do I do, talk to him as if he's a regular person?

I can't say for sure about the shark nibbling on you, and it being normal. I haven't experienced astral projection.I am sensing that this was some kind of hello, a connection between your shark friend and you.
I do believe in animal totems and them bringing you messages, usually animals you see frequently or at random times. I also believe in animal guides, animals that you feel a connection to, somehow wanting to guide or bring you messages. Just try talking to him ... either just in conversation or in meditation if you do this .
just for future reference, if there are animals you wish to check up on, regarding animal totems just type for example : sharks + animal totem in whatever search engine you use and there are quite a few different links with info.

Before my first conscious AP I was doing some relaxation techniques daily for a few weeks after an injury. Starting from my head working down towards my feet I released tension through all parts all the way down. This may have helped my body to sleep deeper when my mind would become awake.

hi rus,
Interesting idea on the relaxation, " to help the body sleep deeper when the mind is awake. " I like that saying. So you were just using relaxation techniques or meditating ? or combination ?
I would like to try that and see if the same thing happens to me.

It is a good idea to relax yourself so you get deeply relaxed. AP is a lot easier to do when you are very relaxed. It is not a good idea to get deeply relaxed late at night because you have a high chance of falling asleep. Just my opinion.

I tried again last night with no luck =(. maybe because I was trying too hard? I laid in the same position, on my stomach with my arms crossed and found it wasn't that relaxing, I wonder why one night it helped, and last night it didn't
