- Wicca and riches. Big question asked. Please contribute.
I wonder who is the richest witch / wizard you know. Can be in person or via media.
I think its Maddona. Obviously she is a witch and is worth about £100 million.

What makes you think that Madonna is a Witch? Peronally, I doubt it very much, she's just a good business woman.
I do know a lot of real Witches and quite a few Wiccans and none of them are VERY rich but some are quite comfortable with no financial worries.

Madonna is not a witch. She's a professed old school Catholic and she seriously studies Kaballah and casually sometimes the Eastern religions. She has a daughter Lourdes named after the famous shrine. When she was younger she liked to shock people who were very religious. Hence "Papa Don't Preach" but as she's gotten older, had kids she's been a bit more conservative on that, at least until very recently. She revived that tendency lately on her last tour, caused a minor scandal by putting herself up on a cross for a number. I will say this though, replace that "W" with a "B" and it does apply. A friend of mine lived right below her for 2 years. She made his life an absolute misery. Her music isn't bad but she's apparently not the nicest person sometimes.

I really don't see anything in that video that points to her being a Witch. "Goth" comes to mind, but not Witch.
What, in the video, do you think shows she's a Witch? Anybody can dress like that, anybody can have those tattoos - doesn't make you a Witch.

Financial gain is not the goal of a true witch

Really? Have you not seen all the books on prosperity magic by different authors?

@Thriftyare k888 - Where do your opinions of witches come from ? [genuine question]
I attend pagan festivals [ NOT Stonehenge but another 5500 years-old henge] on a regular basis with many "witches" [male and female] and, beyond the obvious dressing-up for the festival, there are few stereotypes. Personally, I do not respond to "witch", I am of the Cunning Folk.

Jenny Crow: "Really? Have you not seen all the books on prosperity magic by different authors?"
I never said they do not have financial gains from books and the like, I said it is not their goal. There is a big difference.
And I stand by the statement. Financial gain happens, but if greed is the main intent then they have lost their way.

As to prosperity magic, I have seen books that include workings for that though many books do not include such workings and those who do generally mention beforehand to not allow greed to overtake the practitioner.
So yes, I have seen those books, and read many of them, it has been a long time though, I haven't needed books for decades. Perhaps, more current books have more workings that revolve around greed now than back when I was reading books about the craft, society has changed a lot.
