Same here, Time.
O Holy Night always gets me emo.

I know 'em all, but I like to hear modern musicians' versions of the classics.
I love Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas, too, BUT I wish to god they would speed up the tempo~go to youtube to hear a variety of versions. Lots o fun.

Oh! I forgot The Little Drummer Boy. pahrumpahpahpum!

hi Silvergirl,

I like a variety of Christmas music too, by a variety of musicians/ singers but this year I needed something different.

oh, and there is another new cd, haven't got it yet, but I am sure it is great, by Mark Masri . Cd is called " Christmas is " .... if one likes Josh Groban and his kind of singing this one is supposed to be similar. Anyone have this cd ?

I like all the traditional carols at Christmas ..... my favourites are "Silent Night" and "Once In Royal Davids City"

My favourite modern song would be "Fairytale Of New York" by The Pogues and Kirsty MacColl .... this song always gets me in the Christmas mood/spirit ..... just something about it !!

I only know Silent Night, I need to do some research on the other songs you mentioned. I just might need that last song, if it always gets you in the Christmas mood/ spirit.

Blue Christmas
On this Winter's Night
Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow
( and no ces & Soul, I wasn't playing that song during your recent snow fall ! )
Silver Bells

Il Divo also has an excellent Christmas CD !

Oh not seen or heard of this by Lady Antebellum. Is it very good? I may have to see if I can get a listen on the web somewhere.

I like christmas carols but don't have any particular christmas songs that I like. There is a christmas song that Bob Dylan did I think? I can't remember the name of it - I remember hearing it last year and it was weird in a good weird way.

I thought mention of this Christmas cd would catch your attention ces .

And yes, if you ask me, being a fan of their music I would say yes, it is very good ! If I close my eyes I can see the lead singer singing. Of course he is still in my mind from watching the music video of " Need you Now ". Oh, you were asking about the songs, not the lead singer, lol ! Songs are great too!

Dreamie xx
