since Truth is indivisible, it is sensible that varied approaches to discover
truth should tend towards the same conclusion(s).
i don't believe that the methodologies of inquiry are necessarily based on
the same fundamentals [unless we assume each to have originated
from the same Source, i.e.: Truth!].

for me there are two reasons not to buy:

1) I almost od'd on the idea that there was one true meaning to life, or as einstein would call it a universal theory of everything. Now I see that as nothing more than a daydream

2) I'm not allowed to play with the other children. Sad but true. Sigh.

Universal spirituality is freedom.

The meaning of life is to create your meaning,
The purpose of life is to create your purpose,
Because there is no absolute meaning or purpose to life, except freedom of creation.

If one says the meaning of life is "such and such" then for them this is THEIR meaning of life, not the absolute meaning and the same goes for purpose. Thus, the freedom of creativity, freedom of expression in a meaningless and purposeless universe is a most beautiful expression of divinity, as at its root is unconditional freedom which is the essence of spirituality.

Too many people are seeking "the" purpose/meaning of existence, as if there is only one absolute meaning or purpose, but the fact that there is not one absolute purpose or meaning holds within itself limitless creativity of meaning and purpose, which is to express your own unique and creative meaning and purpose and to allow others to do the same, hence "unified diversity" or the allowing and acceptance of our differences.

So, all these authors, spiritualists, religions, philosophies and ism's are but the revealing of their expressions of their meaning and purpose, with not one of them being in itself "the absolute" one. If one of them resonates with us we can study and contribute to it, if it no longer serves us we can reach out to or create another, but that doesn't mean it's now wrong or may not benefit someone else, just as for a time it may have benefitted us.

Hi Being,

Agreeing with H:O:R:A:C:E:

A universal spirituality is implicit in Existence as Consciousness is explicit of it; as they are One, inseparable and ALL that is.
The one singular purpose of Life is the evolution of Consciousness in and through it - individually and collectively.
This is actually what is symbolized by ‘The Perennial Philosophy’, all of it in its different forms, and what up to now has been represented by the various religions and yogas as varied expressions of it: One Truth.

In the current era this is progressing further as individuals are spontaneously awakening and seeking a deeper connection, not only with their own Self-discovery, but also importantly, in oneness, unity, support of, and mutual facility with others and their respective self-discovery as a manifestation of the One, in increasingly deliberate fulfillment of that purpose: the evolution of Consciousness.

"The highest good is like water.
Water give life to the ten thousand things and does not strive.
It flows in places men reject and so is like the Tao.

In dwelling, be close to the land.
In meditation, go deep in the heart.
In dealing with others, be gentle and kind.
In speech, be true.
In ruling, be just.
In daily life, be competent.
In action, be aware of the time and the season.

No fight: No blame".

The Tao Te Ching

"One of the fine teachings of [an ancient writer] can be summarized
like this: 'When is a horse wretched? Not when he cannot fly, but
only when he cannot run. When is a man unhappy? Not when he fails
to achieve fame and fortune, but when he fails to be himself. You
are not in this world to perform tasks which are opposed to your
nature. You are here to merge your particular nature with all of
nature.'"

Kundalini: Awakening the Shakti Within -

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nSLq04QI9UY

"When [the serpent] is awakened, it passes gradually through [various stages], and comes to rest in the heart. Then the mind moves away from [the gross physical senses]; there is perception, and a great brilliance is seen. The worshiper, when he sees this brilliance, is struck with wonder. The [serpent] moves thus through six stages, and coming to [the highest one], is united with it. Then there is samadhi."
