Creative visualization for self confidence
Hi there,
I'm sorry but not finding a separate place for questions regarding visualization, I post it here.
I have read a lot about the success stoires of creative visualization and I hope it does work if practiced consistently and properly. Now I want to use it for increasing my self confidence, let's say overall confidence. This is because there is not just a particular area where I feel there is a lack of confiance but there are many, including talking at a strange situation, speaking in public, trying a new thing, talking to a girl I don't know, in work, and so on and on. I am also very incabale of dealing with contingencies due to this.
My question is while practicing creative visualization should I take one of these situations or should I incorporate short vision of each of these in one session? or maybe one day I practice with one of them and with the other the next day? What would be the best method? Also should I do it plusieurs times a day as I read somewhere or once a day about 20 mins regularly would suffice?
Thanks

I think it would depend on how long you're able to hold your visualizations; but I would think it best to work on one problem area and get comfortable and confident with it then move on to another area.
Again, according to the amount of time you have you could do it a couple of times a day or if you can only find time to do it once a day I think that would be fine. If at all possible try not to miss a day, but if you have to for some reason it still should be OK
Good luck with it!

Agree with Jenny Crow. Sort out one area/issue at a time. Might be an idea to persist with one for a couple of days then change to another so you don't get tunnelled on one area but still afford it enough time to develop the visual.
May also be worth reinforcing in little ways. Every time you pass a mirror glance to remind yourself of the efficacy of your sessions; maybe some simple affirmation like things are getting better all the time.
