Catnip
Well studies have shown catnip is a great healing herb. Catnip is also used as a cold and flu remedy. Catnip is also a valuable carminative, aiding in digestion and GI disorders in many ways. It soothes the gut wall, helps ease maldigestion, relieves flatulence and colic, and can be a great remedy for diarrhea. If you are skeptic or not I still recommend to have quick search and find out yourself. :) I would post a link but I am still not able until I have made my 15th post.

I know catnip. I have worked with herbs since the 1980's. It is a good herb to take if you have a feverish cold.
It is not toxic for cats. They are attracted to it. A good cat toy is a little tiny cushion filled with catnip. They love it!

Catnip essential oil is also known to be an excellent mosquito repellent.
