Alabaster
I found something interesting in a local thrift store. It is a small sphinx statue, apparently cut from a block of peach/white colored alabaster. Underneath was a handwritten tag saying 'from Egypt' so I assume it was brought here by a tourist.
Now I am looking for the metaphysical potential of this big slab of crystal. Alabaster is also known as gypsum, or (orange in this case) selenite. I do know how to use Google so I am posting this to ask what your PERSONAL experiences are with this stone.

Not much experience with orange, but the white version gave me the weird feelings when I had it under my pillow. It actually was causing me to shake. I learned not to use it under my pillow. It just vibrates so strong when I hold it in my hand and I have been using it to help me send reiki to my boyfriend who lives a couple states away.
