Critters

One of my sisters fosters abandoned baby squirrels and raccoons. In the summer, she brings them to the family cottage and I get a chance to interact with them quite a bit. Raccoons in particular are fascinating creatures and it's a real treat to watch them learn new skills by the day -- sometimes it seems by the hour.

Thought you might enjoy of picture of one of the fostered raccoons, Binky, having a bit to eat under the watchful eye of my Jack Russell, Benny.

He/she's so cute. I wish we had them in the UK naturally, it's a shame. I would love to see one with my own eyes.

Very cute! A racoon ventured down the chimeny and in to our fiireplace earlier this year. My husband was a little nervous about channeling him from the fireplace and out the door. When he got home, it had climbed back out. Quite the climb.

Raccoons are so cool! I used to have them come and look in my window when they would smell me baking banana nut muffins.

I have to admit, when I read that sentence, I pictured the Snow White scene when she is baking pies for the dwarves with all the animals helping out, for some reason. It gave me a good giggle. Too much of an imagination here.
