Hello, im new here. Can anyone tell me If there an meeting point between the subtle energetic body and awareness? I read a lot about the awareness and separate sense of self, and then I also do the green tara practice which involves the energy body. But where do these practices converge. awareness and nonduality seems to about searching for truth, while the energetic stuff seems like its only meant for healing.

Energy and Awareness are one and the same thing. Hence nonduality :)
Now I am not a Buddhist but the Tara meditation to me is creating a connection to the Divine. Buddhist don't believe that :)
Congrats on feeling energy with the practice, a very good sign.

Most Western Buddhists don't believe that, but there are a lot of others who do.

Happiness is the result of an enlightened mind whereas suffering is caused by a distorted mind.

Originally, Chakras seemed to entail everything.
There is one Buddhist based dynasty that seems to be based upon the Chakras. It is the Chakri Dynasty. One of the previous Kings used to recline on a bed and teach Buddhism to his followers while chewing Betel Nut. I wished I could have seen that sight.

Chakri Dynasty
In founding the dynasty, the king himself chose "Chakri" as the name for the dynasty. The emblem of the dynasty is composed of the discus (Chakra) and the trident (Trisula), the celestial weapons of god VISHNU and SHIVA of whom the Thai sovereign is seen as an INCARNATION....
Nothing to do with Buddhism.....

......... and when one of the Kings of the Chakri Dynasty would recline on his bed/couch and chew Betel nuts, he would teach Buddhism to those before him.
As for the Chakri Dynasty, I previously mentioned that Chakras, at one time, had a different meaning, and once seemed to include 'everything' which in a way, could be easily construed to mimic 'God/god'.
From my viewpoint, Buddhism came from Hinduism. Some of the 'words' seem to come from Hinduism but in many cases, their meanings have been altered. For me, I hope this information can help the original poster in his search regarding the Green Tara.
I know, some Buddhists have issue with those Buddhists how believe in the Green Tara, but I do not think this thread deals with that.

If you go to the Far East, you might be surprised how close they are.
For example, not eating meat did not seem to begin with the Hindus in India. It seems to have begun with Buddhist in India and when Hinduism became the predominate religion, that of not eating meat remained.

I googled what they have in common and this came up: Hinduism and Buddhism both accepted the law of Karma, Dharma, and Moksha and believed in a cycle of rebirth. Hinduism and Buddhism both believe in the existence of several hells and heavens or higher and lower worlds.
Seems like Buddha kept a lot of his Hindu cultural beliefs when he put his own spin on things.
