Reiki attunement while pregnant?

I was the one who wrote about the 'heart check' and Star Wolf thought it meant using a fetal heart rate monitor. For me, 'heart checks' refers to the spiritual heart, not the physical heart.

Tainamom, no confusion here. I just thought it odd that I'd heard such different info than she had written from other midwives and doctors.

I was going to write this before the site went down yesterday:

Okay, now I am reading up on it. I guess fetal heart rate covers quite a range, changes throughout the pregnancy and there hasn't really been a well documented correlation between heart rate and gender. My kids just like the 150s perhaps ;)

Back on track though, this is very interesting! I hadn't come by the 24 week gestation idea. It doesn't seem to be so well known. But there doesn't seem to be a lot of standard among reiki practitioners. I am the type who likes to stay on the side of caution.

I wasn't actually into the idea of being attuned to reiki for a while, but when I got pregnant it began popping up in my mind. So I have to wonder if it's an idea I have not because of myself alone, but perhaps also a desire from the baby's spirit. :)

The heart rate thing was a fine side note because it got me wondering! But I think I understand also what you mean about heart checks. I always have felt pretty in tune with mine anyway...
