Help with a reading I did?

Hello, everyone!

I was wondering if anyone could help me with a reading... actually two readings but they're connected. I have my own interpretation of them but since I'm new in the world of tarot, I'd like a second opinion.

Well, the first reading was for me and the second one was for my love interest. I was thinking about our condition, if he would make a move towards pursuing a relationship with me. We're not together, actually he's a runner. I was advised before to wait, that I did all I could and now it's up to him. Now I'm months waiting and I feel that our deadline is coming and there are only two options, to go separate ways or go together.

Here's the reading focusing on me:

Heart of the matter - Ace of pentacles
Present - Death
Known wish - Page of swords
Hidden factors - Judgement
Possible obstacles and attitudes - The High Priestess
Outcome - Two of swords

Reading focusing on him:

Heart of the matter - Six of pentacles
Present - Judgement
Known wish - Ace of pentacles
Hidden factors - Death
Obstacles - Page of swords
Outcome - 10 of swords

Well, that's it. I know some cards repeat themselves in both reading but by now I don't believe in coincidences anymore lol

I'm not sure what you're asking. You've posted readings for two people. I'm not sure how you did the readings and what your intent was. Maybe if you're clearer, it would spark some interpretations.

I seldom try to interpret someone else's reading. It's their cards and their reading. I read intuitively, and the traditional meanings of the cards have little meaning for me (because meanings vary greatly, depending on the source and because when I use them, they're sparks for intuition).

I take it this is a soul connection. You mentioned him running. Both of you went through a transformation through the union. You are currently going through it, so this may be a difficult time for you. He's going through something similar, but he keeps it internalized.

What happened? Why did you break up? How long were you together?

From the cards, it doesn't look like he wants to pursue a relationship with you. You may want to reach out to him and say what you need to say (Page of Swords), but I think he sees this situation as over. (The 10 of Swords) It looks like he has things he wants to say to you, but doesn't know where to begin.

I went through a situation similar to this. I'm so sorry love I know how much they hurt.

It's definitely a clunky reading. Too many cards and too disjointed. There are better relationship spreads out there that might be easier to interpret than two separate spreads.

I'm sorry I wasn't clearer. I used this spread because it works for me most of the times. You're completely right, Everly, about not attributing meaning to the cards and to use your intuition. But I still think I need that kind of guidance to interpret a reading. I did these two readings because I wanted to know how each one of us are doing separately about the situation.

But the truth is we don't have a relationship. He's someone I met in college and he just started staring at me but very intensely, this about half a year ago. The time I noticed that I felt there was something there. I went after like two months of intense staring and spoke to him. He was very pleased to talk to me and interested and then in the next week he was all shy again. I did some other attempts but he was getting nervous and giving mixed signs showing interest but not taking action. I meditated to be sure if he was someone relevant after all because before meeting him I had many dreams with a mysterious guy that would ask me to give us a chance because he had harmed me before in another life but I couldn't not give us another chance. There was more but this text would get extra large. In the meditation I mentioned he showed himself and told me that he had his own time and asked me to wait. So I've been waiting.
I know for some time that this situation would end in june though. I did the reading to know if it would be us together or separated moving on with our lives. But thank you for the feedback, and yes it definitely hurts

Have you tried just being his friend and seeing where it goes? With that Death card in both the spreads, I would say there are some real deep changes taking place. His current state of mind is processing his life and assessing what matters to him. He's not in a relationship state of mind. You know when you go through a breakup and it takes you months to feel like yourself again and you start thinking about all your past relationships and looking at your own life and where you are in your career and your social life and you're wondering what type of partner would make you happy? That's what he's doing right now.

That's why I think getting to know him and being his friend might be the best approach

Maybe draw some cards about how he feels about you.

Another thing is the reading had to do with whether or not he plans on pursuing a relationship with you. I feel like there's not enough of a foundation. Think of a relationship as a tree. You have to plant the seed first. The seed would be the Ace of Pentacles, which appeared in both your readings. Is there a way for you to reach out to him and say hi, or is he somebody you run into?
