Or buy premade food that your coop or local health food store makes that's made out of tofu, you'll be surprised. One time I bought "bbq beef" which was really tofu with bbq on it and gave it to my husband pretending I just bbq'd some beef to see if he would notice the difference. He hated tofu before this mind you saying "UGH" anytime I'd suggest it. Well he LOVED this bbq beef I had made him and imagine his surprise when I told him it was tofu...hahahah it was great, now we eat it all the time.

I like the way that tofu takes on the taste of anything you put in in. Tofu Bolognese for example. My favourite is cubes marinated in diluted shoya and grated ginger root then coated with wholemeal flour and deep fried in smoked sesame oil. Lush is the word that well describes that ! Oh, serve it with grated mooli [daikon] with a dash of the marinade on it.

I especially enjoy strips or squares of it in Hot and Spicy Soup. One oriental buffet near me has a wonderful dish called Hot and Spicy Chicken and Mushrooms.

Lady, it's a curd made from soya beans - very big in China/Japan.

I've voluntarily eaten tofu and soy on a regular basis for some years, and it's never been a love match..

The taste is just dull, but that's according to my tongue of course..

I thought the same thing too, but that's because I just ate it plain to see what it was, but mixed with other spicy foods and textures (meat, veggies), it adds interest. A new healthy lifestyle doesn't hinge on eating tofu, thank goodness!
