Not really here, in this life or the next
The mind wanders, thoughts unraveling
Words spoken out of context
Wandering aimlessly, in the here and now
Without knowing how
Without knowing why ~
Days turn into nights
Hello turns into goodbye
Watching the days going by
Like a movie in slow motion
Silent animation
With none of the usual commotion
Present moments
Frozen in time, preserved in the memory
Before becoming part of the past
Wondering how long will this last ?
Lingering longer, not wanting to leave
Surrounded by what ifs and when
Will we be ready or not ?
And will it really matter, then ?
Suspended in motion, suspended in time
Not really here, in this life or the next
The mind wanders, thoughts unraveling
