Mostly the first one. Best friends and lovers among other things. We were never exclusively together but we both loved and appreciated each other very much.

Actually it was both. After the recognition the spark ignited and I wanted her in the physical , but we had a astral type relationship nonetheless. So with that the second part where I tried to be the best version of me I could be, for her , and us, started.

Thanks for asking... well we never got past the electric fireworks honeymoon phase before it ended abruptly. There was SO much fear on both sides and the relationship really was too much to handle. The Chemistry was too strong, the pull, the attraction, the oooozing amounts of love. It was way too much to handle. We never settled into comfort and BFF's because the intensity was too much.

In reality it's a brotherly and best friend thing. He accepts me with all my quirks, I trust him with my life and would walk through hell for him. In my desires and dreams, however, we're lovers, he's the one true love of my life. But it's something that can never be. He's straight and married to a woman. I'm gay and married to another man. I don't think he knows how I feel about him more than being a brother.

May I ask how you know you are twin flames then? I'm confused because I thought twin flames come together in union. Does he feel the same way about you that you feel about him?
I wouldn't have known about twin flames had it not been for union, full physical, emotional and spiritual union.

I might have mis-remembered the explanation and conflated it with twin flame. In any event, he and I have some sort of deep connection, I think it's been through the ages and many lifetimes. I've never loved anyone as much as I love him.

It is a strong comfortable bond that leaves no doubt for me -definitely not brotherly-sisterly... it is a best-friend type of connection. The attraction is still there, of course. I feel safe, loved and I feel like I am at my best when in his presence without trying.
