Decided to walk home from the hospital to save money on a bus ticket. 2.5 miles but seemed much closer. I could see my apartment in the distance on another hill.
Slight problem, there was a motorway running between. Luckily I found an overhead freeway that had a runoff road that allowed pedestrians to cross underneath. Otherwise walking around a motorway is like trying to walk around a wide river.
So much easier when you have google maps to help you find the way. It was very bright (hard to see the phone screen) and I was cooking on the way, but a little exercise is good for the body and mind. Seeing people go about their lives is good for the spirit. It connects you to people in an anonymous way. Makes you feel life has a purpose and is in order.

Been dry now for over a month. Makes a change from the 4 months of rain over the wintertime and spring.
