Can only get vibrations when tired
I read a lot of places on the net that its better to try and ap when not tired so you don't fall asleep, but I find it extremely difficult to get to the border sleep state to get to focus 12 when awake. How do you do it? Am I just different or weird? Will i be able to do it whenever once I get more practice?
Thanks for all your help!

I actually find it easier/faster to get to that state when I'm tired/sleepy. It seems to fast forward the process, if you know what I mean. While relaxing and not letting your mind wander, perhaps you should focus on doing some mental falling exercises like Robert Bruce suggests to help reach the states that you desire. One will definitely find it easier to reach focus 10, 12,...with practice (meditating, staying as long as you can in that state without losing consciousness).

b3yond33 is right about the falling exercises, they will definitely help once you get the hang of them. If you always practice at the end of the day while you're very tired, chances are pretty good that you'll continue to fall asleep just before the trance. Definitely practice meditating every day. Also, while practicing reaching trance when you are not tired, tense and relax all of your muscles so that they are completely relaxed -- you want the "mind awake, body asleep" state, so muscle relaxation is vital. I would also say you should exercise at least a couple times/week. This will help your state of mind, as well as help your muscles relax when you want them too, without it always being at the end of the day when your mind is tired too.

Everyone is different it will take time, practice, and messing around with different settings, methods, and instances to find out what works best for you. You only have been trying for a week and a half which is practically no time at all. As I have stated before it can take weeks, months, years before a person has their first projection. If you are getting impatient already you really need to work on getting that in check, you can not rush through this experience one way or another you will have to endure.

I'm not getting impatient, im just wondering if its normal. i know that it takes a long time and I'm fine with that. I feel my progress is amazing so far. And where'd you get me only trying for a week and a half? I just got to 12 a week ago, but iv been meditating and that for years.
