Its hard to say. Nature as a homeostasis doesnt feel like we do. it isnt human right, just like a red blood cell doent look like us, but the funtiions are the same. We do seem to think were seperate from nature. Our whole societies are based on this myth. We create artificial cities ( dont start the " its made from nature so it is nature", natural as in the earth cant make a house natural), 80% of our life is based on plastic (artaficial).
Its as simple as seeing ourselves at par with everything else NOT above it which the lieks of the bible teaches
That of course isnt true though. We are as much nature as anything else, and we are probably the only species who is capable of creating a great world, and a healthy world, yet we choose not to. We do seem to not quite fit in, but thats because we are a new species. Were also invasive.

Mother Nature granted us intelligence so that we could be guardians of the planet and it's flora/fauna - we have fallen down on the job !

I use to think that but if you look at a teaspoon of soil and see all that is going on in there, millions of microscopic organisms building soil, providing food and oxygen, etc, etc.. you have to stand back and realize that we all have a responsibility keeping our mother beautiful.
I don't see us above any of it. We just have the power to not care about her for some reason. We can never destroy her. She won't allow that......IMO

Wow, I love it! Have you read Lovelock, by any chance? I think you'd really enjoy his books.
