Maybe be kind to yourself and see others beliefs as their own, You will find many religions , scientists , etc all have an expert on some level. There are Group Beliefs and singular beliefs.
How about Becoming your own expert on you? ~ Your afraid of death, many people are . May I suggest simply learn to meditate in a nice spot ~ meditate on finding your answers which fit calmly and peacefully for you.
After all its lovely sitting in the quiet of ones mind , takes some practice but so did riding a bike.
