Hanging on
Hi all
A bit of a strange question but a friend has an aunt who has Alzheimer's and lung cancer. She is now in a coma but her heart will not stop beating. Technically the nurses have said she is dead but is a miracle as her heart is still beating! Her family have said she can let go but she just continues to stay. Has anyone heard of this?

Sorry should add she has now been brain dead for 12 days. A doctor was called one day as they thought she had gone but he found a feint pulse. It just seems as though she is hanging on
