Advice from experienced astral projectors?

I know I've made a lot of new threads lately but I have heaps of questions and am fascinated by all of this. I was just wandering how long it took you to explore outside of your house while atsral projecting? I've astral projected maybe 6-7 times now and still haven't gone out my own house, in fact I normally don't even get out of my bedroom. I've never gone beyond 'real time' I think it's called, I really don't know too much about it.

I probably was still inside my house for the first 10 projections. Probably for my first 6, I was stuck inside my bedroom lol (it was frustrating).. having trouble getting the wall and I had the door shut. I also at first wasnt managing to stay out for more then a few minutes before ending up back in body again (I then started sleeping with the door open so I then could explore rest of the house).

You sound must like me, I hardly ever go beyond real time ..but as real time its good in many ways and Ive had experiences I wouldnt have been able to have othewise.

Hi good day, first of all, you are doing an excellent job, not all humans have experienced consciously the astral projection

You can walk through the walls and doors, it's easy just go straight and you will succeed, although the mind can trick you in believing that you are in the physical world, it had happened a lot of times to me, the astral projection became so real that I thought it was the physical world...

Try to forget your physical body, as soon as you do it you will get better quality in the astral.

The best advice is confidence in yourself !

Good luck and have Fun :)

Oh I'm glad it's not just me! I get frustrated when I can't leave my bedroom, I still feel very week and my vision isn't great. The furthest I've gone is into my Mums bedroom, literally like 10 steps from my bedroom haha. I can only stay out for about 30 seconds, thats a bit frustrating as well. Hoepfully I'll improve with time! :)

Yeh I really struggle to realise my potential when I astral project, I still think everything i physical and dense. I even go to open my door still and then my hand just goes straight through it haha. I'm slowly building my confidence, I suppose it's just practice, practice and more practice!

Hi. Thanks for posting this thread. I am a beginner too at AP. I have managed to get out and about a few times - managed to go into my back woods sometimes, which was wonderful - didn't have to worry about the mosquitoes!

I was wondering, has anyone else had trouble coming back into the body? This one time I had a difficult time coming back - it felt like I was floating around like an untethered balloon. To be honest, it was a little scary, and when I came back into my body, I kind of avoided the AP practice for a while.

Any ideas about how to stay safely anchored while AP'ing? thanks!

No I have the exact oppositse problem, I struggle to stay out of my body. Honeslty one stray thought about my body and bam! I'm right back in it. So I'm not too sure how to help you, I am fairly new to this though.

As a kid I would wander around my house and didn't really have any restrictions on where I could go, to my knowledge, but I never even thought of leaving the house in the middle of the night because I wasn't supposed to, lol. For the last twenty years I've been projecting daily through meditation, and I can be wherever I choose to be from the start. I don't ever have the feeling of leaving my body...just transferring my awareness, for lack of a better term. Because we aren't restrained by our physicality? All you really need do is think about where you want to be. At the moment my awareness begins to shift, I think about where I want to be and I'll find myself standing there. Pretty cool. I think a lot of folks can't get past the notion that they have to even walk around to begin with. You aren't physical and aren't beholden to physical constraints. When you think with your physical self, you'll hold yourself back.

Britto, it sounds like you are doing okay so far and 'getting acclimatised'. It is a good move to keep projections short at first anyway. That way you acclimatise well, and have a good chance of remembering every detail.
But next time, there would be no harm in venturing out into the garden or something?? Take it a bit at a time, maybe.

Thanks for replying guys, glad to know its a normal stage. Whenever I hear about someone having this amazing vivid first experience where they fly up out of their houses I tend to get a little down because I'm no where near that stage yet. I've had to slowly build up my confidence, I still have trouble with feeling fear every now and then. I'm sure I'll get there eventually though :)
