I've been particupating in a number of other forums dealing with rocks and minerals.. This one forum has upgraded to a new format which allows users to "like" other users post.. thou if one was to view said users of the forum, it will show how many "likes" the said user has aquired over their forum usage.
Is it possiable to incorpurate this new type of format?. In other words.. I want to like a users comments/post without ready adding a responce. thou giving that user the tumbs up sort to speak.

This forum is powered by vBulletin, which does have this "reputation system" and is probably part of what makes it so expensive. You'd be able to comment individually on why so-and-so comment got a "thumbs down" or "I disagree" and another got a "thumbs up" or "I agree" which a regular "karma system" number wouldn't allow.

I don't really see the point of any such system. It's all for the ego strokes and only creates contrast by putting people in boxes of good and bad.
