Multiple Gods of Shintoism

The religion of Shinto still continues today, and is sometimes combined syncretically with Buddhism. Shinto has Multiple Gods, in fact many of them, so is polytheistic.
The way I see it, Amaterasu the Sun-Goddess, is the most well-known. In Shinto, what I find positive is that there is an equal balance between Male and Female dieties. That is, there is the Creator Izanagi who is Male, and also the other Creator, Izanami, who is Female. So there is balance between the Genders.
There are many other dieties, and also Nature Spirits, which is why I post Shinto here, because this section was designated for Nature Spirits and such.

Shintoism is actually one religion that I have not explored in any depth and hence know virtually nothing about it. Thanks for sharing.
