That made me really scared to use my own deck 
I don't want to open any doorways! My family is in a bad enough situation as it is...

I have the Gieger Tarot (spelling/)and if I remember rightly there is an advisory in the pack due to the deep psychological nature of the meanings for each card, whether this is necessary or just a selling point I don't know, I found them 'deep' but they didn't worry me.

You are not going to open any doorways. All tarot cards are is pieces of cardboard with pretty pictures. The reading and intution and information comes from the reader. The images on the cards just help the reader along.

I agree Kaere, a person isn't calling forth anything to do a reading, like you said it is your intuitions, your connection to spirit and the ability to connect the images with the person and their situations. |

I agree. However, I owned the Vampire Tarot years ago and really couldn't use it. It was weird. The images didn't bother me. I got the deck specifically because I like vampiric and dark themes. I still do, in fact. But I had to get rid of that deck. It just really bothered me to use it. Still don't know why. |
