Deviahn - got a decent printer and photographic paper ?

There is a site http://www.learntarot.com which is a complete set of lessons for the tarot to download. Two of the files contain images of the whole Rider-Waite tarot and there is a detailed explanation of each one.
If finances are tight, you could "make" your own tarot by printing the whole deck on photographic paper, then cut the sheets up. The cards might be small but no matter, it would give you an insight into reading.

Also, how does one cleanse their cards? Salt?

Everyone seems to have their own way of cleansing. I keep mine in a box, wrapped in a silk scarf that was blessed by the Dalai Lama. Many people use crystals - rose quartz is a good choice I think.

I keep citrine in my cards.
I also if another has touched them..I hold the deck firmly and knock it ..like thump it ....this knocks their energy out.
You can cleanse it with intent. etc, pass them over a candle flame etc.

Would a piece of Amithyst work to cleanse them? If I'm lucky, I'll be able to order the deck I want in march.
