Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart

I just purchased a Mozart album and I'll tell you what, it's great for listening to while driving in your car!

I absolutely love Mozart. Have you ever seen the movie Amadeus? He was a very interesting person.

We owned the Baby Mozart collection, hehe. I get too sentimental hearing it though, shelved and put away. Everyone is all grown up now..

I just bought a collection of Antonio Vivaldi's music while thrifting. There is particular song I really like. Ill reedit the thread if I find it on youtube. Nice strings... Edit: oops, this thread is about Mozart, never mind!

The Requiem Mass in D minor is stunning:

I particularly like the Karajan version with the Vienna Philharmonic. (But this one is sprinkled with noisy ads unfortunately. You have to be on guard to skip them!)

"I fear I am writing a requiem for myself" Mozart said. Indeed, he passed away before it was finished. Bless his Soul. I think he would probably have been delighted by what he found on the other side.

Oh I can't listen to that without feeling so emotional. Such a beautiful piece, and his passing... I know he was buried in a potters field. Do you know if they ever located his grave/relocated it?

From what I have heard it was a communal grave, which was common practice in those days for those without wealth to spend on funerals.

It doesn't really matter where his bones are laid. His Spirit flourishes!
