Will a faded crystal have the same energy as when it wasnt faded?

Do you know which kind of crystal it is? Some crystals fade by exposing them to sunlight but that shouldn't make them less powerful imho.

Yes, a faded crystal will always be different than an unfaded one. Fading represents a physical change which in turn affects the energy.
That being said, for some the change will barely be noticeable (like Rose Quartz). some will be just as powerful but have different properties (like Amethyst becoming Smokey Quartz). For others it will pretty much destroy them (like Opal).
