What is your reason for practicing or wanting to practice yoga?

I don't really care one way or another about the spiritual aspects of yoga although through yoga I have healed injuries that I would not have thought could be healed. Other than that, I am mainly into yoga to achieve the physical results as I am very much into contortion as well as controlling my bodies response to pain. Just wondering what some of your specific reasons for yoga practice are?

I want to do yoga because it helps you grow as a spiritual person and there are many benefits from it as proven from various cultures.

If you mean asana yoga: physical exercise and prevention and healing of bodily discomfort.

After having achieved God-Realisation do you still need yoga to maintain that state?

To be honest I think yoga is wonderful until someone says Namaste.

I don't understand...do you experience "Namaste" as positive or negative?

Namaste means you recognise that someone is enlightened. You look at their soul and they look at yours, we are all one.

Generally I find it somewhat grating. I love the exercise of yoga, but don't really care for the culture of yoga. I get the same way even when I am taking non yoga classes at the gym. I guess I just don't like being told how I should think or feel by anyone.

The Sanskrit word "nam" means "to bow". Namaste means "I bow for you", I always thought that.
And combined with your circumscription it kind of means: I bow for you because I treasure your existence and treat you with honor?
