He's never been in a relationship before, actually. Not this life around, anyway, hence all the 'monk' jokes his friends make about his relationship status, despite being surprisingly mature/wise. He's very introspective, so he always focused on shaping his life and spirituality, rather than paying attention to what's around it, which is one of the qualities that managed to make us friends, since it was a very relatable factor for us (and then after that, we found out that our spiritualities and everything else were almost spot-on, even regarding our general disinterest in seeking relationships when going through school years).

Anyway, for situations such as this, there are a few studies that I've researched that have said in certain regards, this can mean that there's a certain quality of comfort that feels like 'home' or a fond memory (not necessarily related to love, but comfort, childhood, a favorite hobby, anything), and some even regard this as a reminder of a flame from a past life, hence the clarification I've asked about through other cards. Though, of course, this is your interpretation, so I respect that, but in this situation, since he's never had a relationship, what else do you suspect the 6 of cups might represent? It could represent any of those, or, could represent qualities related to childhood. ie. childlike, innocent, playful, etc. Could be he views you as sentimental.
