My twin is aware, but I would say that maybe some become aware at different stages.
In my own perspective, I consider the "awakening" as the spiritual aspect of this connection and finding my own self. The twin aspect would be more of the "awareness." I don't think it matter's if they are awakened or not, to be aware. I hadn't started awaking when I became aware of the connection. The awakening was for me, not the connection. In my opinion, of course.
Although, some may need to awaken before they become aware. I don't know. I can only comment on my own experience.
I myself, started to awaken a couple of years ago, but it continues. The more layers I take off the more I "remember" who I truly am.
But I may stand alone on the belief that I am not here to "learn", as I am a spark of God, and should "know" already. I am here to remember and experience.
