Why do you love music?

For me, I love how it can bring back memories with just the lyrics and emotional sounds of their voices. There's so much to love about music though, and another thing is the way that certain songs can just make you feel. I rarely feel fear from a song, its usually sentiment, love, happiness, those kind of things.


I just think music can effect people in different ways so I'd love to hear what and why do you love music ☺☺

I love many genres of music, so it would make sense that I love many elements of music too. I have a mainly emotional connection to the lyrics, but certain melodies and style of music too. Electronic and pop represents mostly the side of me that wants to have fun and enjoy myself, whereas alternative and rock can reveal my inner spirituality and emotional peace, in particular female fronted pop rock like Against the Current and Paramore, or Owl City (my fave of all) who seems to tick ALL the boxes for me in terms of lyrics, production and general connection to the world <3

Listening to metal pumps my blood and increases my self-confidence, and most of all makes me a little bit happier. Though I HATE everything commercial and mainstream related. Pop music nowadays isn't about talent but all about looks and money.

I'd agree with that - music gets me through life. Also I love most types of music (with the exception of punk and rap).

For me, the music I really, truly love is cathartic - it helps me to feel all the emotions I've locked away over the years.

for me it's about escapism, mood lifting, relaxation... but I also have a thing for sounds, so it could just be a specific sound in it I become hooked, I wouldn't even know how to explain that one!

I can relate to this usage of music to bring back memories past or good times although due to recent events the music tends to make me cry as I am not even over my ex yet and already she has moved on.

I feel the beauty of life in music and I can communicate using music. It helps me relax and connect with myself. I especially like soul and pop.
