I know it sounds extremely simple, and it might not suit all people/circumstances, but sometimes I like very short, simple mantras. At various times when I have suffered from health problems, I have said to myself "I am well" and sometimes "We are well", to remind me that I wish not only for my wellness, but also the wellness of my loved ones. Sometimes I alter it into a prayer for wellness for me and mine. Sometimes I think "Bless and protect me and mine". Sometimes I just think or pray for love, or for love and joy or peace, or the higher good- things I think may either cure illness or help me live with it in peace. So I leave it to God's discretion whether I'll be cured or not, but I just pray for peace either way. Then I try to believe that these things are actually being granted to me.
I like the different focuses at different times and the fact that it doesn't specifically address the illness, sometimes, because sometimes I find thinking of what I'm suffering from just intensifies it, but thinking the opposite, just general wellness, can seem to bring general wellness, and the illness sometimes just fades away. When I'm really suffering, sometimes I make these things a constant mantra. Doing rituals and spells can be helpful, because I think that really speaks to the subconscious mind. So sometimes I would do some ritual or spell along with my prayer or mantra. Or I would wear something or put some kind of image in my line of vision to remind me of whatever it is I am trying to focus on in some way. Sometimes symbolism works well for me, that way its just my personal private message, that no one else knows what it means. Just something I'm wearing, an image, or whatever.
