Oh hell no!!!
All natural and organic is the way to go!
As in if you want to eat the best....forget the store completely.....Grow your own veggies and if you are inclined to eat meat....get out in the woods and kill it yourself!!!
Take responsibility for what you are putting in your mouth...not some lab produced mystery food!

It would really depend on what my higher self and my body had to say, but I probably wouldn't.
I can't digest or uptake animal protein very well other than poultry, so for me it's probably a no go no matter what, as I get really sick. Some things I can eat but it is very hard on my system, even eggs and dairy for me as an ovo-lacto vegetarian, are often difficult. If I don't buy pasture raised eggs my body usually goes into massive cramping, and I can't just go to the store and buy some cheap block of deli cheese either. My body will reject it as the plastic and chemicals it is. I have to have real, organic cheese. So that's not me being some organic snob, just what I have to deal with physically.
I'd have to find out much more about it... and how I felt about the 'meat', from a spiritual standpoint.
Not sure I could stand eating a beautiful bird...in any form...I stopped eating poultry for many reasons, but one of them was that I could no longer take it emotionally. Birds to me are sacred and part of a sacred tribe.
Also the texture and taste of meat for me isn't something I actually really like anyway. So another reason I probably wouldn't go there. And then there's the corn/additives issue...what would they be putting into it? What varieties/forms would be produced and offered?
Having said all that I think it would be an awesome tool to end world hunger, but I'm sure the mega corporations will find a way to destroy that possibility too. Just my opinion.
Not sure exactly what effect it would have on farmers?
Sounds awesome for the environment, though. I would embrace that over what we have now. I hate the food industry in my country.
Lots of different possibilities and potentials here. I like it that the animal the meat sample is taken from is still alive. That resonates with me.

I can't eat any meats from a regular grocery store because of the acid washes they use on the meat. Number one: the chemicals are simply horrible. And dangerous. Number 2 there is corn in the acid wash and I cannot eat any corn.
I can understand the difficulty in digesting and the organic. I don't think you as stuck up because you eat organic. I think you are smart.
Thank you so much for giving your take on this subject.

I don't have a problem with it being lab-made, seeing as how I eat mico-protein substances (Quorn brand for instance.)
It's just that I haven't eaten meat in almost twenty years for everything but beef, and that's been almost thirty years now. My body is just as likely to reject it as it would factory-meats today.
Some veg*ns might eat it and I'm fine with that. But I won't.

Thank you Arjhan. I had to look up Quorn. Interesting. Derived from a fungus.

You're welcome, linen :)
I try not to eat as much processed fake-meats as I can, but I do eat them sometimes.
I do not know how vegan any of these are, but after looking at the ingredients of the gardein meatballs in my freezer, they seem to be vegan.
Here are the faux meat brands I like for y'all to look up:
Quorn
gardein
Boca
And the best for fake cheese, because they have managed to make it melt properly, is daiya. There is also a recipe for fake cheese on the blog Avocados and Ales that I have yet to try, mostly due to lacking the necessary mail-order ingredients.
Now one thing some meat-eaters might ask is why we would still want to eat fake meats. Well, I do because I convert some recipes to meatless, yet they still need that texture in them that used to be covered by meat. Sure, you can make many things without even the fake meat in place. But, it's available if you choose to use it anyway :)

I found an article on it without any advertising flashing all around you.
This is based on the company Hampton Creek which makes a mayonnaise called Just (I think I've seen this mayo at Walmart). This is the company that is saying they will have it in the market for consumers by the end of 2018. All the other companies working on what they call clean meat, aka vat-grown meat, aka synthetic meat, aka cultured meat, aka vitro meat all say they won't be on the market until 2019-2021.
The Hampton Creek has revamped (majorly) and is now called Just.

As a 25 year non-meat consumer, I wouldn't touch it. Not only do I not have any desire to taste that again, but knowing how damaging it is to my body (and the environment) there's no way I'd eat it again. I value healthy arteries and the likelihood that I'll never suffer from fatty liver disease, MS, several types of cancer and diabetes to name a few diseases that seem to go hand in hand with eating animal products.

No...........
Same as I wouldn't smoke the weed made in labs for doctors to give to people. (I don't smoke anything anyway just saying)
Everything natural always wins..
